Police found a man lying dead Tuesday on a street in South Los Angeles after an argument between two men allegedly sparked a fatal shooting. A Lynwood deputy heard gunshots at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday and drove to the 12400 block of Bullis Road near Carlin Avenue, according to sheriff’s Deputy Kim Manatt. “He was flagged down by a witness who pointed out the victim, who was lying in the northbound lane of Bullis Road suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” Manatt said. “According to the witness, the victim and the suspect had stopped and exited their respective cars in the middle of the road and began arguing with each other. Suddenly the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim,” according to Manatt. “The suspect then got into his car and drove away northbound on Bullis Road.” The suspect drove off in a red sedan. Authorities have not yet identified the 34-year-old victim, pending notification of his relatives. Investigators ask anyone with information to contact them at (323) 890-5500, Manatt said.
